Born To Be Holy and Blameless

"And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine." Leviticus 20:26 NKJV
We cannot make us holy [whole] by ourselves. God knows it better than we do. So, He promised to make us holy and blameless, even before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4). He made a plan which has been manifested and disclosed by the Son Jesus Christ in the cross. Through the Son's death the Father purifies anyone who believes in the gospel of Christ Jesus. As soon as being born of God he is possessed by Him as a member of the family of God.
However, we don't feel anything particular but have been transformed inwardly and quietly. It’s just like a mother doesn't feel anything when she has conceived a new life. But it's real and now we have been adopted to the family of God. It’s called conversion or born-again. Just as a new babe does not grow to adult next day, so also a new born Christian doesn’t grow to mature Christian next day. It’s a process, sometimes long process until we grow to men and women God intended men and women to be.
We don’t need to worry about growth because we have God's promise that He will make us holy and blameless in His sight just He is holy. “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6b NKJV) What an encouraging promise for us who hasn’t yet been revealed what we shall be (1 John 3:2)! How can we grow? Keep on following Jesus by denying ourselves and taking up our crosses daily. Read the scriptures daily, understand the words of truth, and live by the faith in Christ Jesus. Keep on obeying Jesus Christ the Lord!
