All men are without exception God's servants. The question is to what
purpose are you used by Him -- noble or ignoble. I believe that no one wants to
be used for ignoble purpose. God never force anyone to obey for noble purpose
although He draws you to respond and obey Him. At the same time, God never
leave you alone without instructions to follow. Here are the instructions for
you and me to follow which are given to Timothy by Paul to be used for the
noble purposes.
First and foremost of all, in order to be used by God for every good work, you should say "No" to the wrongs. Paul admonishes his son in the faith to flee youthful lusts, but pursue righteousness, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. You see that flee first evils and then pursue goodness. Flee quarrels and strifes but pursue gentleness, teachings, patience, humility. An amazing statement is that repentance is coming from God. God enlightens the heart of His dear children to repent, so that they may know the truth and they may come to senses and escape the snares of the devil. It's by His grace for you to be used for every good work of the Lord. What you do is to say "No" to the evils and say "Yes" to the Lord.
