Perpetual Fellowship With God

"If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." I John 1:6-7 NKJV
Walking in the light is the key to have fellowship with God and the Son Jesus Christ. What does it mean to walk in the light? The opposite of it is to walk in darkness because darkness is the absence of light. Born again Christians can still walk in darkness when they turn off the light. The most common form of turning off the light is not opening the Scripture, the channel of light. Ah, some may protest that they do have devotions by reading and studying the Scripture regularly. Yes, there may have it sincerely, but it could be dull and mechanical without any hint of excitement.
Opening and studying the Scripture doesn’t mean to know only but to obey the word of God by faith. Openly and honestly live according to the teachings of truthful words! God is not pleased with mechanical and habitual service, but looks after the repentant and contrite heart of worshipers. Repentance means that you agree with the words of God and have the mind of God on every matters of life. That kind of life is the mark of having fellowship with God and the Son Jesus Christ.
Then what fruits do you bear? The cleansing and washing of heart is continually done without ceasing by the blood of Jesus Christ the Son. The continual cleansing of heart leads you to stand righteously in the sight of God so that you can continue to walk in the light. If you walk in the light, having fellowship with God, then your life never becomes dull, desolate, and boring. Instead, it shall be exciting, vigorous, adventurous, and fulfilling, because God is eternal life.
