Real Sufficiency
“And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that
we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves,
but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of
the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills,
but the Spirit gives life.” (2 Corinthians 3:4-6 NKJV)
Laws on Our Hearts
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the
house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their
mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be
My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his
brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them
to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their
unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no
more.” In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made
the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to
vanish away.” (Hebrews 8:10-13 NKJV)
The Word is Very Near You
“For this commandment which I command you today is not too
mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should
say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear
it and do it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over
the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word
is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.”
(Deuteronomy 30:11-14 NKJV)
