"Give us day by day our daily bread." Luke 11:3 NKJV
Why do we need to pray to give us day by day our daily bread, clothes, and shelter? Do we need to pray to let Him know that we need our daily bread day by day? No, He knows already what we need even before we come to Him and ask. Then for whom we need to pray? It is for us to remind of the necessity of daily bread day by day. We need to tell Him that we're in need for us, not for Him. That's why Jesus taught His disciples ask daily bread day by day, not week by week, or month by month. Why so? It's because we have been made that way. Yes, we are completely dependent on the Father and the Son Jesus Christ the Lord not only life on earth but in heaven. So, we humbly come and ask the Father to give us day by day our daily bread.
Do we really pray every day for God to give us our daily bread, clothes, and shelter? Are we thankful for all that He provides day by day?
